Looking back and realizing just how badly we got screwed

in 1991. We started the season with a 3-6 record through December. From January on we went 21-1 through the FAMU play-in game and won 16 straight at the time of the selections. We lost 1 game in 2 months and got a #15 seed where we had to face eventual national champion Duke in the first round. We should have been at least a #13 seed that year.

And if I remember correctly we were without Greyhound until January.

End in sight?

The end of the search for the next AD of ULM could be coming soon. This week at least one candidate is expected to be on campus for an in-person interview. Campus should also be posting something soon about a community discussion this week as well.

While there’s no white smoke, the Warhawk cardinals are gathering firewood

AD search update

1st round of Zoom interviews happened on Wednesday. 2 of the candidates to me - my opinion - were solid, and the other just didn't WOW.

There was a lot of talk about how the community is in supporting the athletics department. I do feel that the community does an ok job of support the university and the athletics.

An interesting comment made by a candidate - students should be treated as donors, and taken care of......after all their student fees are going to athletics no different than us giving $$ for athletics.

Of concern, the question was asked and rightfully so about the university's commitment to remaining at the D1 level. Some took offense to it, but I took it as a question this person asked to make sure when he up-roots his family for Monroe - is it a D1 job that he's signing up for. Valid question that needed to be asked, but concerning that there's that much of that perception out in the open.
