In a snippet of an interview with Aaron Dietrich, Tim stated that he wanted to see Terry Bowden placed as the Interim AD with John Lewandowski serving as his "chief of staff" so to speak. He talked John up pretty good. This was posted on FB and possibly Instagram. I responded by saying "No".

I stated ULM needs to stop with business as usual and bring in some new eyeballs who has experience with raising funds and executing strategic plans. I was down for the TB for AD move, but when he stated that he still have coaching left to do I put that to the side, as he is correct.

This is a very crucial hire. On the SBC board, it was brought up how ULM is about to go through some pretty big budget cuts, which we have been told that they will be moving athletes from the athletics designated dorms. We cannot take this AD move lightly. Seems many fans at other schools want to kick us out, and ULL is waiting for the state to move us out of FBS football. We have to stop giving them reasons to feel this way. TB is great for ULM, but we cannot use him as the savior. Bring in another strong person and that will make TB all the better as well as the rest of the programs.

. . . and we know very little. Furthermore, there is cause for significant worry about what we do know - - i.e., a few of the 13 commits. Our coaches must be keeping our remaining prospective commits under their cap/hat. At least I hope so.

Reports Mike Leach is in an extremely concerning condition at the hospital. One of the truly entertaining good guys in the game.

Football-playing schools in ASUN and WAC considering jumping from FCS to create new FBS conference, per report​

The realignment wheels keep spinning, and this time it could include a massive addition to the FBS ranks. ESPN reported Fridaythat 10 schools from the ASUN and Western Athletic Conference are in the early stages of combining to create a football-only league that will make the jump from FCS to FBS sometime in the near future.
The new league would consist of Stephen F. Austin, Utah Tech, Eastern Kentucky, Austin Peay, Abilene Christian, Southern Utah, Tarleton State, Eastern Kentucky, Central Arkansas and North Alabama. UT Rio Grande Valley is also slated to join the group once its program gets off of the ground prior to the 2025 season. The new league would then become the 11th FBS conference and would be considered part of the "Group of Five," which obviously could re-consider its name once the new conference joins the FBS ranks.
The goal for the new conference, which does not have a formal name yet, aims to begin play at the FBS level in 2024 as its members go through the NCAA-mandated two-year "transition process." The NCAA also has a rule that prevents single-sport conferences from joining FBS, but the report indicates that the rule will likely be lifted, clearing the pathway for the league to come together.

Is Wright in the transfer portal? I don’t see him on there with 247, but on3 says he is. One of the folks at KTVE also said he was but his Twitter still has him listed at ULM. Can anyone clarify for me?

I wish someone could explain to me why we are scheduling a team that couldn't place in the top 10 of an intramural tournament. Other than the fact that it's an easy W, where is the benefit to playing a school with a grand total 78 undergraduates? I get a couple of D-II teams or maybe even a D-III team to start the season. In December we should not be playing these garbage teams. This is a f'ing joke! and our basketball program (both men's and women's) is a damn joke.
