I’m here in Oxford to watch in person #13 (Nationally) Ole Miss against #14 (Sunbelt) ULM. I was hoping for a better record for us at this point in the season and a better kickoff time, but I’m going to make the best of it. Making an early start of tailgating and I’m very sure much more after the game. Through it all I’m still here to support and cheer them on.

So at the Ole Piss game this weekend, everywhere you go is ads for the grove collective. LSU has Bayou Traditions, etc. These are all programs put together to help cover the amount of money these schools fork over for players in NIL.

so does ULM? Because if so, as alumni, fan, and local business owner I haven’t seen a thing about one. And I know we aren’t trying to attract and pay 5 star players. But I bet a 3 star QB would get excited over 1000 dollar a month…

Maybe instead of getting rid of our head coach, we give him the tools that are needed to succeed in the current landscape? Otherwise, here we go again, setting ourselves back 2 to 3 years hoping the next guy can do it. This just seems more productive with money then buying out bowden and hoping again.

The men play at home and on ESPN+. Not sure what kind of game this will be. I think they are playing a high school team! Let’s see what happens…

Has to be the biggest disappointment by far in the Bowden era. We had ST woes, but changes were made midseason and bigger changes made after the season and we were much improved. Defense has improved considerably. OL, RB, WR talent has all improved, but we have squandered it all away.

TB let RR and Rhett piss away opportunities at the end of the year. Then the debacle at QB this year. I hate to pile on the kid, but I can’t remember a QB that we’ve had with lesser talent in a long, long time.

I was playing around on the Nike site and came up with this. How would you guys feel about something like this as a black option for 1 game/year.

Ok. We asked for a coach. We got a coach. She has legitimate P5 starters playing here in Monroe. She has gone 4-1 and only lost by 5 to Arkansas. If you are local, you need to get off your ass and get to Fant Ewing Tuesday night. You need to grab a friend and bring them with you. We wanted a winner. We might just have one. Now we need to do our part and show up

So far this team is playing well in the first half. I want to say to 77 they are shooting better this game, 48 % .

The balance is very good this game too, not taking too many 3 pt shots and getting in closer to the basket.

The last thing, playing good defense without the And 1's, well only 1 so far.

Men on the court this evening against tech. I’m thinking we’ll have a better showing than the last few meetings. Let’s see how Richard runs the game plan including the bench. 630 at home/ESPN+.

Got a question about the portal. Can the kids that transferred in from a D1 school for example our LT who came from San Jose state I believe get automatic eligibility to another d1 school if he hasn’t graduated yet?

As long as everyone stays healthy, I think the men will be competitive and they will improve over their 7-11 conference record from last season. That said, I will still feel very fortunate if they hit the .500 mark in conference. I think they will be a little less streaky than they were but still streaky nonetheless. Richard played 11 today with 10 of them getting 14 minutes or more and very little drop in production from any combination on the floor. That's pretty incredible considering he basically has a 6-7 man rotation last year and they just flat ran out of steam. I don't think we have the talent to really push to the top of the league but we should see some upsets and we should see them last longer into the season.

After the football game, everyone needs to go to Fant Ewing and cheer on the WBB team. They showed they can play with a good P5 team and damn near got the upset. We owe it to the new coach to give them some support. So, go get something to eat, rest up a bit and then get over there for the 7pm tip off.

Seems like we’re playing SELU in a few years. Legit wonder why we schedule teams that always come close to beating us instead of playing some team we can beat by 40. It would be nice to see us on the giving end of an ass whipping for once. But nope, we’re gonna play SELU and possibly lose because ?????
