I saw where both teams got their first win. I have to be honest, I’m disappointed with the results I’m seeing with the women. I don’t even know where Louisiana Christian is located, but I don’t feel we defeated them like a good D1 team should have, and not sure the progression of this program is moving like I thought it might. Got beat pretty soundly by future Sun Belt mate (Southern Miss). The players she’s recruited sounds like they are respectable but just not turning out on the court. Season is early, but maybe someone who has seen them play can elaborate.
For the men, I’m going to hold judgment a little longer. The game against LSU was flat out embarrassing, but they showed some positives against Auburn, then beating soundly an NAIA school as they should. I’m in the camp that it’s time for Richard to move along, but interested to see if this team can develop into something respectable in the conference.
