I was looking forward to the Army/Marshall match up. I Can Not get excited by the replacement match up.
I always want the Bowl to do well. However, the weather all day looks very gloomy up until kickoff.
8:15 game time. ( 9:15 Florida time ).
Any gander on prediction?

I have no idea if tech has lost anyone to the portal. They could be a tad short handed. Navy and Army have no portal worries, being at full strength. Navy showed up in that Oklahoma win.
Tech had 19 in portal that I saw

I guess until you take the oath you can still free-agent yourself.
For the military academies, you have through your sophomore year to withdraw. Once you start your Jr year, you will incur an obligation and the service can make your serve your time as an enlisted member to make up for the time you spent in the academy. The RB is a sophomore so he can withdraw and transfer.

I wonder if they actually will enforce that? Could make it harder to market themselves as a place to play, given the additional restrictions.

That is standard for all cadets, not just the ball players. The guys going to the Academies as football players aren't going for a career in the NFL. A very small % of them get a waiver to be accepted (not the best applicant but accepted as athlete). West Point has an acceptance rate of around 12%. The average SAT is 1331 and ACT is between 30-31. To be highly competitive, you would need to have an SAT around 1430 and an ACT above 32. Most of the cadets were involved in at least one varsity sport, were class officers, and had many extracurricular activities. The academies don't take the great athlete who scored 20 on the ACT. That person won't be able to handle the discipline of being a cadet, the class load and then practice.

Watching some of the Iowa-Missouri bowl game being played in Nashville. I have no doubt Hardy will be the starter next year. Missouri's running game so far today is just the quarterback and their offense isn't bad. They throw more but Hardy would have a fun time against Iowa if he were playing. However, Missouri's special teams need lots o' work.

LOL.... Just checked the Missouri schedule. Damn Cajuns still going to get a dose of Hardy. I wouldn't call their schedule easy but they should be favored in almost every game.

I think we’ll end up being fine, just curious what other transfers/commits we have coming in. Some WR help is needed. Looks like we may need DL help too if Ware is leaving. Not sure where we stand with OL. I liked Miller but I don’t think he’s irreplaceable

I am far more concerned with the WR room than I am the RB room. As for the OLine, no we did not have any one individual lineman that's irreplaceable; however, I was hoping it would remain as intact as possible simply for continuity. Them working together as a unit is far more important than just the individual abilities of one player. Granted, exceptional individual abilities can help the rest to gel but I'm just more concerned with their cohesiveness.
