Had a chance to catchup with Dr Berry last night. 21 applications are in for the AD position and are being reviewed by the community committee - no idea who all is on that committee. Afterwards they will give input for the committee that I’m apart of and also take the input of coaches to give recommendations to Dr Berry.
Still expecting to have a new AD in place for the first of the year, but not going to rush through just to have a person in.
Most interesting to me, the posting will not close until filled. Dr Berry said there were some that were interest but didn’t want to be named, but would be open to being a late applicant.
Again, I emphasize that when I get names I will share what I can but not wanting to burn bridges with applicants that may be in play now or in the future, there will be discretion. Information may be scrubbed to be something like -
- mid-major assistant AD with 5 years experience. No La ties, but interned in Texas with someone now affiliated with ULM, etc, etc.
