We won no games last season. We are currently 2-2 (1-1 in conference) with 8 games left to go. Our 2 losses are to very very good Top 25 programs.
It is amazing me how quick we as fans are ready to jump off of the rails given our current rebuild. That is being caused by the placement of unrealistic expectations on the program at this time. Relax everyone, this is a marathon and not a sprint. We need to understand that this entire season is the first season of a complete program rebuild. The main objective should be showing improvement over the previous product. I believe that has been shown.
We have to trust the process. So far, things are going very well. But, things can quickly derail once unreasonable expectations are placed on the program. We have to avoid doing that.
So, let’s keep moving onward and upward with measured expectations. One game at a time.
