This is definitely a new day and a new Warhawk program. BV is an “old school” ball coach who has the “youthful exuberance” to communicate with today’s type of players. The ULM defense will be an attacking defense that will have the size to stuff the run and the athleticism to play with just about anyone. Billy Pullen will be a problem for many offenses. On offense, the OLine will be improved over the past few seasons. There is talent at RB and there are receivers who can make big plays (Davon Wells and Javon Campbell). Overall, I definitely see an improved team. The issues that exist are 1. Getting all of that talent on the same page, and 2. A tough schedule (many have ranked ULM’s schedule as the toughest in the SBC). All in all, I see 5 wins in year 1 for BV, with an outside (long shot) chance for 7 wins.
