A lot of the same drills. Guys getting back into the groove. Got chippy towards the end.
Some starring down by the QBs which led to INTs. Nothing too impressive to me but this maybe just a need to work on timing between QBs and WRs. Fitzwater has a big arm but is going to need some time to get in the groove with the offense. Brown is the Brown we all know. The rest had some good and some bad. Going to be interesting to see who gets reps and how many as the Spring continues.
The guy I really like so far is the new TE. He catches everything (at least he has so far). Hands away fromt he body. The new JUCO O lineman is big and I did see him put someone on the ground. Again, can't wait for pads.
At the end of practice, they lined up to run 11 on 11. Saw a jailbreak on more than one occasion and, as expected, came from the right side. They were alternating linemen, QBs, etc but eerily similar to all of last year. On one play, Brown (maybe Smith, but pretty sure it was Brown) rolled right to avoid rush and was pushed back. DBs have been working hard on stripping the ball and continue to the end. Well, they ended up in a fight that ended up in a scrum. Once separated, it started again with I believe Johnson and someone from the offense. Coaches didn't seem too upset and surely didn't jump anyone about getting after the QB. Take from that what you will but I have my personal feelings about this and has to do with leadership (player wise).....meaning that no player would be fighting with a leader of the team. That fight may well be telling.....but I think we all had feelings that way.
