I just got to thinking about the versatility of our new/old logo in respect to how it adjusts to today's trend of multiple logo concepts and uses. Just doesn't seem like there is much wiggle room in regards to how many different ways we can showcase it.
I guess what I'm trying to ask is are we settling on ONE simplified moniker??...because if we are, I'm good with that as long as we STICK with it!
My reservation with this change.....(and it's a BIG one with regards to media relations) is that in all of this APPEASEMENT of the older fan base with this attempt of selling seats and drawing donors back in, we have ONCE AGAIN created yet ANOTHER identity crisis.
It takes a lot of time and money and WINNING to cement a nationally recognized identity.
I sure home NFlo and JLew are making a concerted effort to make sure our new logo is introduced and displayed from day one!
I sure don't want to see the Hawk Head with the old colors on the screen and the new logo on the helmet with the (new) colors on the field.
THAT would be one big SMH moment..
