Regardless of what ULL fans think, this is a rivalry game. As such, all records and statistics go out the window. ESPN gives ULL a 93.7% chance of winning the game. The Weather Channel shows a 60% chance of rain/thunderstorms. This should make it a very interesting game. This may be Caleb Evans' last game in a ULM uniform. He has yet to get a true signature win while at ULM (although that win may have been taken away from him at FSU, due to a failure to go for the point conversion). ULM has its bowl bid hopes on the line in this game. ULL comes in looking for a historic 10th win at the FBS level. Both teams have tons to play for. However, ULM is the only team with something to truly lose in this game, as ULL is a lock for the SBC Conference Championship game.
With that being the case, ULM needs to come out playing with reckless abandon. Commit to stopping their run and make Lewis beat us with the pass. The weather will be a great equalizer, and the winner will be the team who makes the fewest mistakes. I like our chances.
