More of the same today, with a few of the younger guys getting some shots. TJ Fiailoa got some looks at second team guard and right tackle. Logan Latin got snaps with the first team playing as a slot corner. Juwan Offray split time between both first team defense and third team defense. Brandius Batiste was practicing at the punt returner position alongside Marcus Green, Tyler Cain, and Tre' Perrier.
The seniors in the secondary played extremely well today. Justin Backus and Trey Hunter were making plays and helping schematic/technique issues with some of the younger guys. When Offray wasn't with the first team, Marcus Hubbard was playing corner opposite Backus.
In the one-on-one battle of the trenches, Howard Houston and Derion Ford really impressed, and both were able to beat different linemen with a variety of moves. Transfer Tyler Johnson seems to be buried a little bit on the depth chart.
Terry Ausborne and RJ Turner did not participate in practice.
