tough cnference opening loss but still showing improvement from the start of the season. Here's some quick hits from the GaSo game -
- defense looked really good. Played mostly assignment football.
- people will point to the penalty again Justin Backus as the cause of the loss. Not the case to me, the roughing the penalty in the 3rd quarter was the difference. That play allowed the Eagles to get 6 on a dead drive.
- anemic offense for too long and the loss of Sutton late in the 4th quarter showed that the talent on the team is thin.
- special teams on the blocked FG. Coulda, shoulda, woulda - offense should've put up 6 or made a better last stand, but blocked kicks happen. Just got to hope this is not a mental killer for the future.
