The AFCA has sending a proposal to NCAA that would allow players to play up to 4 games while still being able to redshirt.
This would also mean playing in 4 or less while getting injured would replace the medical redshirt. Whether that means guys like Tyler Cain could have 6 years (if approved) or still just the 5 is unclear to me.
I love this change. If a season goes south, why not throw some guys out there? It also lets coaches put in some guys in bowl games to get experience that way.
