Hoping this becomes a 4OT game to help tire App out a little more. App is up 19-14 right now. Their defense looks legit, offense has done enough to get them a lead. Hope we’ve been working on some things to get the offense going this week, otherwise it could be hard for us to win.

Does anyone know what happened to these? As far as I know they’ve been happening for decades.

The Wall Street Journal published the rankings for the best colleges in the country. These new rankings are largely based on outcomes; essentially WSJ is trying to gauge/rank where best your dollars invested in a college education are likely to pay off the most. They do make adjustments for demographic/socio-economic and other factors. Student satisfaction and diversity scores also weighted.

So, the ones I was interested in:
LSU - 199
ULM - 357
UL-Lafayette - 383
La Tech - finished outside the top 400

Take from that what you will.

Had a pretty big night in his victory over tech.

They are not getting separation down field and they are dropping way more than they should. Why?

The Army win over UTSA last night added some credibility to ULM's win over them. A win today would do even more.

I don't tend to view games this way but if Army beats UTSA I feel that provides some added validation to our W over Army. BTW - Army up 7-0 and just recovered a fumble in UTSA territory.

If we have to rely on Jiya Wright, we may as well cash this season in ...DAMN....😣

I want to be optimistic about this game. Jiyas legs will help a bit in this game. I believe our Defense will play hard and hold their own. I worry about lack of sustained long drives by our offense that will result in alot of field time for the defense. If there was ever a time to run it up this would be it. Petrino is a scumbag like that. Dont see Jimbo slowing down either with the heat he is under. I believe we play tough but get worn down late. They add meaningless TDs late in the game. Take our medicine and move on.

I've been as a big a critic as anyone on here about some areas off the field we've been slacking in, but after a trip to campus this weekend I thought it was fair to give credit where credit is due.

I always come/exit the back way from Old Sterlington Road and haven't been through the front of campus in years. The remodeling of the buildings, especially the new HUB look great. I work on many college campuses as part of my job and ours is looking as up-to-date or better than anyone around our size.

The bookstore has made a huge improvement on the variety of product they offer. The quality of product is much improved as well. I may have bought 1 or 2 shirts there over the years, but saw several this week I wanted. They had over a dozen different Adidas options which we've always begged for.

The scoreboard update and the new in-game graphics and fan interaction segments are much better than before. The fan interaction "contests" and videos, etc. really do improve the game experience during breaks in action.

Overall, we still have a long way to go but taking a step back and looking at it, the improvements over the last couple of years have been nice.

Warhawks open as 31 point dogs. This one might get ugly especially with the Aggie’s coming off a loss against Miami and having Auburn next week

What's the crowd looking like?

This one shouldnt be close. Lamar did play a team in Idaho that is expected to be decent. Idaho lost the turnover battle and were penalized over 100 yards. They still managed to route them by 4+ scores. Our defensive team speed should give them alot of issues. Idaho grinded out over 270 yards on the ground. I expect much of the same. At some point they will have to add hats to the box. Good luck stopping #4 and #1 on the outside..
