Okay, let's say that there was this massive letdown after the App St game. What now? If this game was a result of a hangover, is this game going to have a hangover that we have to deal with for TxSt? And if that's true, has the App St game ruined the season such that this team cannot recover from it? I said after App St that I thought this was a different team because they were pissed about the loss. I anticipated that being the fuel for this game. Turns out it was the water. Can this team recover to salvage the season? I think they can but after last night I'm going to hold off any prediction and wait to see what happens on the field.

Very similar situation to last week. Tough road game for South up at JMU. Travel to Monroe. Unfortunately we didnt have the bye like last week. We will find out ALOT about our team this week. We can play with the upper tier of SBC teams. Do we do what good teams do, get off the mat and lay the wood? Or do we say here we go again? My biggest concern was our offense going into last week. Alot of those concerns were alleviated. Vic wont allow the defense to get torched back to back weeks. Warhawks bounce back and deliver a strong message to the rest of the SBC.

Coached against this young man last year in the playoffs. He's a good player. Excited about him.

First, anyone that comes to Malone stadium this year, Cory will definitely let you know when it's 3rd down when ULM is on defense.

Now, It is good to say on the board Cory is back.

The post itself isn't just about Cory, it is about ULM offense on 3rd down. So, let's take a look.

Game 1) vs Army in a win 6-15
Game 2) vs Lamar in a win 7-15
Game 3) vs A&M in a lose 1-12
Game 4) vs App St 7-13.

This is a stat for winning teams, it's always at a good percentage.

This season has a ways to go, yet, it's a season of urgency too. On the board we have insight and I always remember most fans don't. So, no matter what is going on behind the scenes don't matter to them, they want to see progress.

I was at the App game and I listen to the crowd during and after walking back to my vehicle. The words were, this just like always, finding a way to lose when the game is won.

I felt the same way, even though this season can be different. I wanted to give Jiya a fair shot before I made any judgment on him this year.

I thought he played a solid game vs a good opponent. The problem Jiya has going forward, he is still a young Qb in terms of playing time. The state of the program is win this year though.

The Qb isn't the sole person to carry the team, I meant he will get the blame if the team isn't winning even in his first season.

Any information regarding any players who visited ULM for the App game, as well as any information regarding visitors for the USA game?

Currently -12, last night they were -11. Can’t understand why the spread this that large but oh well that’s for Vegas to decide.

It feels weird to say this but this game needs to be a W. If “it’s time” actually means anything, this game should be a W. We should have won against App, but couldn’t seal it. Now it’s time to prove this team has turned a corner. I don’t see a loss as anything but a failure tbh. No moral victories, no “we showed improvement”, just get it done and show the league that this team takes itself seriously and they should too. Is the team pissed about the way App ended? Prove it by leaving no doubt against South Al.

Just received an interesting call from the FWAA about how Lewandowski’s departure will impact my coverage of the team. Appears there is or will be a change at the SID position at ULM soon.

Too many hard fought games in a row for App. Back on the road after a trip out to Wyoming. Teams do not play well in Monroe for whatever reason. ULM fresh off a bye. We get this one boys.
